equipment operator

We went to the most awesome open house at our public works yard last weekend. Elliott had so much fun doing all sorts of cool stuff. My highlight was watching the fireman's face when Elliott told him about our fire drills at home. Did I mention that glen is his dad;)

almost too big

Elliott is too big for this car at daycare, but he loves it. Only 2 more weeks left and then he is done for the summer... and done daycare forever!

Sunshine

After a week of rain, Finny and I went outside for a playtime and he was soooo happy.  He's developing his personality these days and it seems pretty fun.

Elliott is 4 and 11/12

Elliott is an awesome adventurer these days.  He is becoming more more independent and trying all sorts of new things.  AND he's almost 5!

Paul Lake

We went to a beautiful park yesterday for the day. Elliott swam in the lake, we played Bocce, had a picnic and Finny scooted around eating whatever he could find on the grass. The lake was so cold by the way it was painful on my feet.

finny and the doggy

Finn was playing with our neighbors dog pita this afternoon. I don't believe that finn will share his brothers dislike for dogs!

buggy boys

Both boys in the buggy yesterday at costco. EJ on the upper end of allowance and Finn has just started - and loving it!

finn loves his bug

Going back to work is one of the biggest challenges that has ever faced me as a mom. I like my job, I love the people that I work with, I do love eating my WHOLE lunch... but it fills me with sadness to put my babies in care. I miss them so much during those days and I find the transition from workplace to homelife tough. But it is inevitable and I have great care lined up.

There are a million moments during the day that are so special. Notice the ladybug on finn's sleeve. He tried to eat the bug moments afterwards. What a little man.

it has been a long time...

For rather boring reasons I haven't blogged for a very long time. But that is now to be rectified because yesterday I upgraded my phone for a BlackBerry Q10! My previous blackberry was too small and slow to blog from.
Anyway, we are all alive and fine. Elliott is a busy guy, taking 'rock' music lessons, soccer and swimming. He learned to read this winter and count to 100! We are looking forward to Kindergarten this fall and talking a lot about what that will be like.
Finn is changing so fast these days. He is pulling to stand and scooting around the house and getting into everything. He is cutting his third tooth right now...
I go back to work part-time june first and both boys will shortly thereafter celebrate birthdays. It all feels so hard to believe

Elliott is back on his bike. We had our first family bike ride this morning. Finn likes the bike trailer too.

Funny expression from Finn. He has been loving the swing!

Elliott and I having a date night together. Sometimes it is just nice to be without his little brother

Merry Christmas

Merry Christmas!
We are having lots of fun as it snows in Kamloops and we all prepare for Christmas.

First sled walk of the year, and EVER for Finny.
EJ and Glen make a perfect snowman.  EJ ate more snow than anything else.
The boys under the tree.  What could be a better gift that they are!  Seriously!
Glen and I took the boys out for a holiday lunch.  Madness!  At least we try.
 My cute little santa.
My big cute Santa.

Catch-up

My girlfriend and I took the kids to Westsyde petting zoo a couple of fridays in Novemeber.  I took this shot from my car, while breastfeeding.  Can you believe how beautiful it is outside?
And the big boys feeding ducks....

Finn loves the jolly jumper.  And he LOVES spiderman.  Who loves it even more that his baby brother doesn't know who is behind the mask.
In our spare time!  EJ was so proud (costco kit so mom could pull it off!)
Christmas tree up!  Let the hyper Elliott start and Finn in the snow suit begin.
The boys and I visited my parents for a bit and Elliott took up pushing Finn in the jolly jumper.  Finn, in his usual daredevil ways, didn't mind.

leaves

Fall is SO fast here in Kamloops I only got this one leaf photo!  This is on the side-walk in front of our house during a brief playtime.  The kids were putting up posters to find their lost stomp-rocket.

growing baby

The quality of these photos aren't great, but as you can see Finn has been a busy boy these days.  He is almost 6 month and can get up to all sort of new activities.  Mostly he loves being around Elliott, but the jolly jumper is a very close second.  Finn LOVES it when Elliott jumps next to him... the happy sounds are loud.

bumpa

Noy that we needed any proof, but our boys do love Bumpa so much.  He's more than you could ask for in a Grandpa!

Spirit Bear not there

We went to the Wildlife Park yesterday to see the Spirit Bear (white brown bear, only one in captivity in Kamloops).  Well he is hibernating and not availble to see... how lame is that?!
But fun day at park regardless.

Sorry- one day when I have an extra minute, I'll figure out how to rotaye in blogger.  Anyone know?
Finn got sleepy in the buggy.  Lovely Fall weather in Kamloops coming to an end.  Bring out the MEC gear!

Finn business

shhhh- don't tell elliott.  Spiderman is cool.
Finn tried my banana at lunch- and he loved it!  I ended up taking it away because he was getting more than just bits in his mouth.  I think he is ready!
 Where is the banana?

i-pad

The boys are watching cartoons together.  They both like Spiderman!

Saturday Fun

Almost the end of Saturday Farmer's Market.  A few of the details of our mornings (not including the veggies)
The kids "Balance on Battle."  All the time actually, not just after the market.  But because it is on our way home, it is a bit of a tradition.  I actually have done this with Elliott a lot while Finn is little.  A block from our house, a little fresh air...
Elliott and his friend eat special happy face cookies.  A market tradition that I finally caved to this year.  Smartie eyes, the whole bit.  They look so big hanging out in the basketball courts.
